Biography

Ludovic Boney is an artist based in Saint-Romuald, Canada. After completing his studies in sculpture in 2002, he cofounded the artistic workshop, Bloc 5 (Quebec City), with four other artists where he worked for fifteen years. Regularly producing public art projects in his name as well as working on numerous artists projects, Ludovic is also a professor of sculpture at the Maison des métiers d’art de Québec (Quebec City).

He has taken part in several solo and group exhibitions in Canada and France. Ludovic recently presented solo exhibitions at Galerie Michel Guimont (Quebec City) and OBORO (Montreal). In 2017, he was one of the Sobey Art Award long-listed artists, received a Research and production grant from the Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec as well as the REVEAL Indigenous Art Award.

Ludovic created more than a dozen of public art projects. Some of his more recent permanent works were installed at the City Hall of Quebec City, the Percé Geopark (Percé), the Musée National des Beaux-arts du Québec (Quebec City) and the Trois-Rivières amphitheatre (Trois-Rivières). His works are part of many collections.
